Are You an Omnivore?

There's nothing like a deadline to encourage you to do everything except finish that article/ad/book. This morning's distraction was an amusing list of things an Omnivore should try at least once. I have tried 77 of the 100 items, missing out on American rubbish like McDonald's and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches (it took me a while to figure out what PB & J was!, and I still don't know what S'mores is (I doubt it's the Dutch Eurasian Smoore!; ditto for Hostess Fruit Pie. I seem to recall you didn't mind giving us peanut butter and honey sandwiches when we were kids, so the anti-PB&J stance seems a bit ... um ... simplistically anti-US? Smores are biscuits, like digestives, sandwiched with chocolate and marshmallow and toasted over a campfire. They are great.

Yes, you're right about the peanut butter with honey when you were kids. That was because I consider honey has some nutritional value whereas "jelly" is almost pure sugar. Thanks for the info on Smores. Can you get them in Australia? By the way, I'm not anti-US. How could one be with clam chowder, sourdough bread and ... and ... ??
